My Allosaur Has Lost His Roar eBook Elwyn Tate Reviews

  • Elwyn Tate does it again! “My Allosaur Has Lost His Roar” is another in his delightful “My Dinosaur …” series of books that children and adults, alike, love. The clever rhymes are never forced. They flow smoothly and are easy to read aloud.

The young boy, who Elwyn Tate features in each of his dinosaur books, has another dinosaur with a problem. Turning to an adult – the doctor – for assistance proves futile. The doctor hides behind his nurse. Once again telling the reader “My Allosaur Has Lost His Roar”, the boy analyzes the reasons for the loss and works to solve the problem. Humor abounds on the pages of this story and you will laugh aloud at the story that ends with yet another large problem involving the boy’s brontosaurus.

Colorful, cartoon-like illustrations capture the reader and/or listener’s attention and elevate his stories. These illustrations have dimension and depth; they have a level of complexity and sophistication often missing in juvenile picture books.

My grandchildren both love Elwyn Tate’s dinosaur books – and so do I. I hope that once he completes the series, all the “My Dinosaur …” stories will be compiled into one hardcover book. These stories have the making of classic children's literature!
  • My grandsons, ages 3 and 6, loves this series of books. We couldn't wait to purchase this. We have read it at least once daily, usually after reading the other two books in this series first. Mr. Tate is not only a great author, he illustrates his books so well. Don't hesitate to buy these three books. Any child that loves dinosaurs, rhyming stories, and/or colorful, fun illustrated stories, will loves these books!

Imagine if that wasn't enough, they care ONLY 99¢ each!!!!
  • MY ALLOSAUR HAS LOST HIS ROAR is a fun and colorful picture book. The rhythm held my 4-year-old grandson's attention, and the repetition made it easy for him to chime in with the reading. I did not give 5 stars only because there were a few punctuation errors (for example, missing apostrophes on contractions whats, wont) that should have been caught by the author, editor, or proofreader. That aside, Elwyn Tate has produced a delightful children's book that gets this Granny's stamp of approval.
  • My 2 year old granddaughter absolutely LOVED this little book I had downloaded onto my cell phone for moments when I needed to get her attention and hold it. We were roaring for hours afterwards and she was coming back to me over and over again, roaring for more reading!
  • My preschooler loves this book. My big complaint is that neither the allosaur or the kid in the story are girls and my daughter would love to see some more books with girl characters "like me."
  • This sequel is GREAT. The rhyme is awesome. Started these with T Rex when my grand daughter was 5. She is 8 and loves them. Now she is reading them to her cousin. Our one year old grand daughter.
  • The children really loved this book of this series. They can't wait until they get to have storytime before their nap. It's short so that if you have some kids with the wiggles, they can handle the length, but it leaves the kids would can handle longer books, wanting more.
  • So very cute!! My 5 & 6 year old love these books!! It helps that they're obsessed with dinos but I'm not & I loved it too!
